Leeds United could’ve done with a striker like Marcus Antonsson in recent months.
The Swedish striker flopped in England following his £2 million switch from Kalmar in 2016 [Yorkshire Evening Post], before Leeds got rid of him last summer.
But Antonsson has looked back to his red-hot best in Sweden and seems to be continuing his form this season.
The 27-year-old hitman has netted three times in his first five games of the 2019-20 campaign, having scored 10 in 16 starts last term – including three in the Europa League.
Antonsson has been killing it in front of goal since leaving Elland Road and perhaps Marcelo Bielsa could have used someone of his cunning in and around the box lately.
Leeds are almost certain to consign themselves to a playoff spot today no matter what happens when Aston Villa visit Yorkshire, after blowing their automatic promotion hopes.
