Leeds United overcame Queens Park Rangers with ease this weekend.

Leeds United enjoyed a successful afternoon when they faced Queens Park Rangers in their latest Championship clash, running out 3-1 winners courtesy of a Kemar Roofe’ hat-trick.

While the former Oxford United man took the plaudits, another Leeds forward impressed in the form of Pawel Cibicki.

The summer signing has struggled for game time since he arrived at Elland Road from Malmo, making do with two EFL Cup performances and a few games as an unused Championship substitute.

However an early injury to Caleb Ekuban on Saturday allowed Cibicki to get his chance, and he seized it with both arms.

Such was the Swede’s contribution that some Leeds fans were quick to suggest that another rarely seen Whites player should now be given a chance to prove his worth.

Like Cibicki’s Mateusz Klich has been used predominantly in the cup, yet he did not disappoint against top flight opponents and it is hard to fathom why he has seemingly been written off so soon.
