Aleksandar Mitrovic looks set to avoid any further punishment, but some Leeds United supporters have suggested that he should be banned.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to suggest that Aleksandar Mitrovic deserves a two-match ban following Fulham’s win on Friday night after an incident which evoked memories of the clash that led to Patrick Bamford receiving a suspension last season.
Bamford was banned for two games after he was found guilty of deceiving a match official during Leeds’ draw with Aston Villa at Elland Road. Anwar El Ghazi was sent off after the striker went down clutching his face as the two sides were involved in a melee.
Replays showed that El Ghazi made virtually no contact with Bamford, and the large majority of the Elland Road faithful had little problem criticising their own player for his actions, especially as the suspension ruled him out of the first-leg of the play-off semi-final.
It was Mitrovic who incurred the wrath of the football fans on social media following Fulham’s victory at Huddersfield on Friday. The Serbia international was involved in a clash with Rajiv van La Parra.

Van La Parra’s hand appeared to brush past Mitrovic’s face, but the Cottagers star writhed around in agony in a clear attempt to get the Huddersfield winger dismissed.
With the referee not buying Mitrovic’s antics, the striker looks set to avoid any punishment as he did not deceive the official in the same way that Bamford had. But as he avoided punishment for a quite embarrassing reaction, some fans feel that he still deserves to be penalised.

Some Leeds supporters, in particular, feel that the right thing to do would be to ban Mitrovic for two games. While he did not get the outcome he was looking for, he showed the intent to try and get van La Parra sent off.
Here is how some of the Leeds fans reacted to the incident on Friday…
