Thomas Christiansen will have a number of selection headaches as his Leeds United side play host to Norwich City at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon – and fans want Pawel Cibicki to start after an impressive cameo role last time out.

The 23-year-old made his first Championship appearance of the season last time out away at Queens Park Rangers, as he came on for striker Caleb Ekuban who has seemed to suffer another foot injury.

Italian Ekuban has been out of luck this campaign, breaking a bone in his foot earlier this season and it appears he could have suffered the same injury in the 38th minute – being replaced by Swede Cibicki, who has played just 196 minutes for Leeds in three appearances this term.

Sweden's forward Pawel Cibicki vies for the ball during the UEFA U-21 European Championship Group A football match Poland v Sweden in Lublin, Poland on June 19, 2017.

The Whites earned a 3-1 win over Ian Holloway’s side, which saw Kemar Roofe score a superb hat-trick from close range and his second was put on a plate for him by former Malmo ace Cibicki, thanks to his inch-perfect cross.

Leeds fans were impressed with what they saw from Cibicki, and have urged Christiansen to hand him a start despite the form of trio Ezgjan Alioski, Samu Saiz and Pablo Hernandez who could line-up behind striker Kemar Roofe.

One fan claimed that Christiansen must start Cibicki because his “confidence will be high” after last Saturday’s win, and leaving him on the bench will “ruin it”.
