The Whites academy striker was on the Elland Road club’s books for a year and a half.

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the news that young striker Sam Dalby has left Elland Road (official Leeds website).
On Friday, the Whites announced that the 19-year-old had joined Premier League side Watford for an undisclosed fee, the Hornets website confirming that he has signed a two-year deal at Vicarage Road with an additional one-year option.
Dalby joined Leeds from Leyton Orient in January 2018, signing a two and a half year deal and joining up with Carlos Corberan’s Under-23s, and he spent time on loan with League Two side Morecambe last season, where he made two substitute appearances.
The teenager leaves Leeds without having made a single appearance for United’s first team, having earlier featured 19 times for Orient, scoring once.
Here is what some of the Elland Road faithful said on the social media platform about the Whites parting ways with the talented young forward:
Dalby will be part of the Hornets’ development squad during the 2019-20 season with the forward one of five young recruits announced by Watford on Friday alongside Jamal Balogun, Cameron Green, Joseph Hungbo and Henry Wise.
