With the 46 standard season Championship games now out of the way, with elation, frustration and outright despair being thrown around in pretty much equal measure, Leeds United now stand three games away from the Premier League.

For much of the season, the Whites were in the top two of the table, vying with Norwich City, and then Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United raced into contention and we had an exhilarating three-horse race on our hands.

Unfortunately for Leeds, inconsistency since the turn of the year has cost them in the home straight, but that’s all in the past – all that matters now is the two-legged semi-final tie and, should they overcome that, the chance to seal a triumphant promotion at Wembley after 15 long years out of the top flight.

It won’t be easy, but with Marcelo Bielsa in the dugout, one of the most iconic, talented and respected coaches of the beautiful game, the Elland Road side could hardly have wished for a better manager to have taken the reins.
