Both of the Whites games against their fellow 2018-19 Championship playoff semi-finalists at Elland Road have been selected for TV coverage.

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the club announcing that two of their upcoming Championship fixtures have been selected television coverage.

The match against Derby County at Elland Road will now kick off earlier than scheduled, at 12:30pm BST on Saturday 21 September, whilst the home game with West Bromwich Albion at 7:45pm BST on Tuesday 1 October remains unchanged.

Leeds often see their games rescheduled for TV coverage which, although it highlights just how big and illustrious a club they are, it also proves inconvenient for many fans, who have to change their plans in order to see the Whites in action.

Here is what some of the Elland Road faithful made of the club announcement on the social media platform:

Leeds and Derby contested one of the two playoff semi-final ties last season, with West Brom also having finished in the top six, losing to eventual playoff winners Aston Villa in their tie.

Marcelo Bielsa’s charges will face Bristol City at Ashton Gate in their first fixture of the 2019-20 Championship season.
