Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge, spent three years on Leeds United’s books.

Leeds United fans are bombarding the son of one of their former favourites with tweets, after his hat-trick on international duty.
Erling Braut Haaland – whose father, Alf-Inge, played for Leeds between 1997 and 2000 – helped Norway Under-19s to a dramatic win against their Scottish counterparts on Tuesday.

Haaland Jnr’s double put Norway 2-0 up on the stroke of half-time, before four goals in 16 minutes turned the game very much in Scotland’s favour.
In the final eight minutes, however, the Scandinavians struck thrice more, with Haaland’s effort proving the winner.
Afterwards, the 17-year-old – who plays as a striker for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Molde – tweeted a picture of himself with the match ball.
And a number of Leeds supporters were quick to message Haaland Jnr – who last year expressed a desire to win the Premier League with his father’s second English club – about a future move to Elland Road.
Should Leeds make a move for the youngster?
