Leeds United produced an impressive display to move back into the top two in the Championship.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to message Alan Browne after the Whites’ 2-0 win against Preston North End on Tuesday night, with some suggesting that he did Marcelo Bielsa’s pre-match team talk for him with some of his comments in the build-up to the game.
Browne suggested, in comments reported by the Lancashire Evening Post, that the media had built Leeds up to be much better than they actually are.
And while he insisted that the Whites are a very good side, many supporters have decided to focus on his suggestion that they may not be as good as some would have you believe.
Unfortunately for Browne, those comments have done him few favours as Leeds secured a 2-0 win that has taken them back into the top two in the Championship ahead of Sheffield United’s game in hand on Wednesday.

Patrick Bamford bagged a brace as Leeds took full advantage of Preston going down to 10 men early on in the second-half. Bielsa’s side were the better team before the dismissal, but there was not too much between the sides before Ben Pearson was sent off.
And Browne’s chances of avoiding being reminded of some of his pre-match comments were not helped by the fact that he did not have the best night at all. Kalvin Phillips was excellent for the visitors and managed to keep the 23-year-old very quiet throughout the contest.

Here is what some of the Leeds fans were saying about Browne’s comments after the win…
