Leeds United youngster Kun Temenuzhkov has had an excellent start to 2019.

Leeds United pulled off a coup when they signed youngster Kun Temenuzhkov in 2017.
Kun was a star in Barcelona’s La Masia academy where he had a prolific scoring record at under-16 level.
The glamour of signing a striker from Barcelona had Leeds fans hoping they had signed a future superstar.
A steady but not spectacular opening 18 months at Leeds had seen expectations become more realistic. Now they are shooting back up.
Kun’s started off in the under-23s last season before spending most of the campaign with the under-18s, playing a part in their title winning season.
This year he has been playing more under-23 football, and has been an impressive contributor whenever he has featured.
Yet up until this week, the first team seemed a long way off, with Ryan Edmondson and even Sam Dalby getting chances in pre-season when Kun did not figure in Marcelo Bielsa’s pre-season plans.

Temenuzhkov has begun 2019 with a flourish, being named on the bench in a heavily rotated Leeds team against QPR in the FA Cup.
He came off the bench to make his debut and looked bright in the 2-1 loss at Loftus Road.
Days later Kun scored twice to lead the under-23s to a 3-1 win at Hull, in front of a watching Bielsa.
Leeds might just have a superstar yet in the Bulgarian, and 2019 is shaping up to be his breakthrough year.
