Ex-Leeds United talent James Milner won the Champions League last night.

Liverpool are on top of Europe once again, as they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in Saturday’s Champions League final in Madrid.
The Reds performed a miraculous recovery in the semi-finals against Barcelona to tee-up an all-English final, but there was no such drama last night.
Liverpool took an early lead as Moussa Sissoko handled Sadio Mane’s cross inside the first 30 seconds, with Mohamed Salah scoring from the penalty spot.
Spurs were all approach play and no finish, and Liverpool killed off the game late on as Divock Origi drove home a left-footed finish.
Liverpool celebrated a sixth European Cup win, and whilst he may not have been leading the celebrations, the night will have been hugely important to the understated James Milner.
Milner is the only Liverpool player to have won the Premier League title, and now he’s added the Champions League to his list of honours in a great night for the 33-year-old.

The Daily Mail note that veteran Milner is likely to receive a new contract this summer, which has seemingly ended Leeds United’s hopes of bringing Milner back to Elland Road, having been planning a move if they went up.
Leeds fans haven’t given up hope of an unlikely deal after seeing Milner win the Champions League though, believing that he’s now won everything at the top of the game in terms of the Premier League and Champions League.
Some believe that Milner should take a pay cut to make an emotional return to Leeds, as he has earned plenty of money at the top level, and winning promotion with Leeds before his career ends would be ideal, bringing an end to his Liverpool career with a Champions League win before turning home.
