Leeds United have sold defender Pontus Jansson to Brentford.

Leeds United confirmed on Monday night that defender Pontus Jansson has left the club, joining Championship rivals Brentford in a shock transfer.
Jansson, 28, has been a mainstay in the Leeds defence ever since arriving from Torino in 2016, becoming a fan favourite for his passion and desire.
The Swedish international has become one of the Championship’s top defenders, and many would have thought that, if he was moving on to another team in England, it would be in the Premier League.
However, Jansson has now moved on to Brentford, who finished below Leeds in the Championship table last season, in a move which has baffled many.
The Mirror report that the fee involved is just £5.5million, detailing how the relationship with boss Marcelo Bielsa has gradually broken down over the last year.
Jansson was allegedly told to find a new club last month, and his shock move to West London has now been completed in what many Leeds fans feel is a massive loss.

Leeds tweeted out the news of Jansson’s exit last night, accompanied with the link to the club’s statement after seeing him leave, which was a very brief run down of his time at Elland Road and a short line about wishing him well.
That statement didn’t go down well with Leeds fans, who felt that the announcement was ‘classless’ and ‘pathetic’, whilst being a clear sign that something went on between Jansson and the club, or more specifically, Bielsa.
Others compared the statement to West Ham’s similar piece when Marko Arnautovic left for Shanghai SIPG on Sunday, with a general feeling that Jansson – an Elland Road favourite – deserved a bigger send-off.
