Leeds United lost to Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds United’s automatic promotion hopes have taken a dent after losing 1-0 at home to Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.
The Whites were ahead of the Blades heading into the game, and knew a win would send them back to the top of the table before Norwich City took on Rotherham United.
In front of a packed Elland Road, Leeds squandered chances through Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison, whilst Tyler Roberts sent a header wide.
Roberts then smashed the woodwork after the break, and after missing all those chances, Leeds were hit on the break, with Chris Basham striking the ball home from Billy Sharp’s lay-off.
There was more late drama as Leeds goalkeeper Kiko Casilla was sent off for fouling Sharp, forcing Pontus Jansson to take the gloves for the final stages of the game.
Leeds couldn’t get back into the game, with Sheffield United holding on for the win and leapfrogging the Whites into the automatic promotion places.

Leeds must bounce back, but some fans were a little confused with Marcelo Bielsa’s decision to bring on left back Barry Douglas, blasting the Scot’s display.
Many fans slated the £3million signing from Wolves (Sky Sports), branding him a ‘waste of space’ whilst adding that he’s out of form, offering nothing to the Leeds side and proving why winger Ezgjan Alioski has been playing at left back instead.
