Eoghan Stokes left Leeds United at the start of the month and has now found a new club.

Leeds fans have been replying to Eoghan Stokes on social media after the striker reacted on Twitter to sealing a move to Bohemians a fortnight after his Elland Road exit was confirmed.

Stokes appeared set to be in contention to be one of the under-23 starlets looking to push for more opportunities in the first-team at the start of the campaign as he started the Carabao Cup game with Newport County in August.

However, that proved to be his only appearance for the Whites’ senior side, and the club confirmed on their official website at the start of the month that he had left by mutual consent.

He has taken little time to find a new club however, as he joins the League of Ireland side ahead of the start of their new season, which, for Bohs, kicks off with a home clash against Shamrock Rovers on Friday night.

And after completing his move, Stokes took to Twitter to comment on the prospect of starting a fresh challenge following his time with Leeds.

Stokes’ tweet attracted plenty of attention from Leeds supporters on social media. All of those within the Elland Road faithful who responded wished the 21-year-old well following his move.

Some have also expressed their disappointment that he was never quite given the chance to make the grade with the Championship club with the forward leaving with just the one senior appearance under his belt.
