Leeds United fans have urged Andrea Radrizzani to get Oli McBurnie signed during the summer.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to urge Andrea Radrizzani to get Oli McBurnie signed after the striker scored yet another goal in Barnsley’s fight for survival and took home the Tykes’ Player of the Season award.
The Daily Mail recently reported that Leeds were keen on signing the 21-year-old during the summer. And it is not too difficult to see why given his current record in the Championship.

Despite only joining Barnsley on loan in January, McBurnie has nine league goals to his name already – which leaves him one behind Kemar Roofe and Pierre-Michel Lasogga’s respective tallies at Elland Road – and he has needed just 16 games to score those goals.
Incredibly, he has also needed just 16 games to earn the club’s Player of the Season award. And while Barnsley’s struggles probably meant that the fans had few contenders to pick from, he is undoubtedly a hugely deserving recipient of the award for giving them a fighting chance of staying in the league with one game to go.

And after being given the award, McBurnie took to social media to comment on the prize…
The tweet came hours after McBurnie had scored his ninth goal of the campaign in the 2-0 win over Brentford that lifted the Tykes out of the bottom three heading into the final day.
And in response to his goal and his tweet, a number of Leeds fans urged the club to make sure that they follow up on their reported interest and do all they can to get the youngster through the door during the upcoming window.
Scoring goals has been an issue for Leeds’ strikers this term, so up front has to be one of the areas that Paul Heckingbottom looks to strengthen during the coming months. And after his Player of the Year award, it appears that several fans are keen to see McBurnie become the player who fills that void.
Here is how the Leeds fans reacted…
