Several Leeds fans have expressed their delight on Twitter after Kemar Roofe provided an injury update on social media suggesting he is almost ready to return to Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Roofe’s most recent appearance for the Whites came in the 2-1 win against Swansea City last month. He left a lot of supporters feeling extremely worried as pictures emerged in the days after the victory showing the club’s top goalscorer wearing a knee brace.

In his absence, Leeds have actually won four of their six games and produced arguably their best performance of the season in the 4-0 win against West Brom at the start of this month.

Nevertheless, Roofe has still been missed. They created a number of chances against Sheffield United last time out, but failed to score and suffered a 1-0 defeat, and it was a similar story in their other loss since Roofe’s injury away at QPR.

And with Leeds needing to get themselves back into the Championship’s top two in the final eight games, Roofe’s return could provide a huge boost. And it appears that he may not be too far away from returning.

The forward took to social media to confirm that his rehab is nearly done. And unsurprisingly, a number of the Elland Road faithful could not hide their excitement at the prospect of Bielsa soon having Roofe back in the ranks.
