The Leeds United captain has been key for the Elland Road side this term but has only just returned to action for Marcelo Bielsa and co.

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on Elland Road captain Liam Cooper’s latest call-up to the Scotland team, despite having recently returned to action following a stint on the sidelines.
The 28-year-old made his international debut in September, in the 2-1 defeat to Russia, before a 4-0 loss at the hands of Belgium a few days later, and Steve Clarke has selected him for the games against Cyprus and Kazakhstan in Euro 2020 qualifying.
Since his international bow, Cooper has been out of action with a groin injury sustained during a game against West Brom, which saw him miss out on three Championship fixtures, but following an appearance off the bench against Sheffield Wednesday, he played the full 90 minutes against QPR last time out (Yorkshire Evening Post).
Here is some of the reaction from the Leeds faithful to the news, as announced by the Whites social media channel:
Scotland travel to Cyprus on Saturday 16 November to lock horns with them at the GPS Stadium, 2pm kickoff, before returning to Glasgow on Tuesday 19 November for the clash with Kazakhstan at Hampden Park, 7.45pm kickoff.
Qualification via Group I is now out of reach for Scotland, who will contest the playoffs next March for a place at Euro 2020.
