Stuart Dallas spoke about Leeds United’s promotion hopes recently.

Leeds United fans on Twitter haven’t reacted well to what Stuart Dallas said today.

The Elland Road club are third in the Championship and pushing for Premier League promotion.

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds are one point behind second-placed Sheffield United, who they lost to in West Yorkshire last weekend.

Leeds have spent most of the season in one of the top two positions.

The Northern Ireland international told BBC Sport: “The Championship’s difficult, anyone can beat anyone, but I believe on our day we’re one of the best sides in the league.

“Hopefully we can show that over the next eight games.”

But it seems like United fans haven’t reacted all that well to the 29-year-old’s comments.

The fans are right. Leeds might be the Championship’s best team on their day, and the 4-0 demolition of promotion rivals West Brom earlier this month illustrates that.

Consistency is of paramount importance for Bielsa’s side over the next eight games. If Dallas is being ‘wishy washy’ then the same could be said for the Whites’ form. They are too Jekyll and Hyde right now and it could cost them dear over the coming weeks.
