Bamba featured for Cardiff in the Championship game against Leeds away from home at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
The 33-year-old central defender started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Bluebirds got the better of the Whites 4-1 with ease.
The Ivory Coast international is a former Leeds player, having initially joined the West Yorkshire outfit on loan from Palermo in 2015 before making the move permanent.
Bamba played well for Cardiff against Leeds, although the former Paris Saint-Germain and Leicester City defender scored an own goal in the 54th minute.
While Cardiff are now fourth in the Championship table, Leeds are 10th in the league standings.
