Leeds United appear to have uncovered a gem in the form of Ryan Edmondson.

Leeds fans have expressed their excitement after Ryan Edmondson provided yet another hint that he may be a prospect to keep a very close eye on in the future as he scored another hat-trick for the Whites’ under-18s.
Edmondson only arrived at Thorp Arch from York City back in November, but he is clearly settling into his new surroundings very well having scored a hat-trick in the win over their Burnley counterparts earlier this month.

He was part of the academy squad that has now travelled to Qatar for the Aspire Academy Tournament, and he ultimately played a crucial role in guiding the Yorkshire side to an impressive win in their first game.
Leeds beat Shandong Luneng 5-0, and they largely had Edmondson to thank for the win as he scored a treble. Jack Clarke and Alfie McCalmont also got on the scoresheet in the emphatic victory.

Edmondson’s latest contribution has not gone unnoticed by some of the Leeds supporters. The 16-year-old is taking little time to create a reputation for himself – and that is no mean feat given how much attention the Whites hierarchy have given the academy since their arrival last year.
There are a number of exciting prospects coming through right now – including fellow goalscorer Clarke – but Edmondson is quickly establishing himself as one of the main names to look out for in the coming years. And that has left a number of fans excited about what the future may hold for the young striker in red-hot form right now.
Here is what some of the Leeds fans made of Edmondson’s latest hat-trick…
