Leeds United defender Lewie Coyle is attracting attention and another loan move could reportedly be on the cards.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from the Yorkshire Evening Post which have suggested that Lewie Coyle could depart Elland Road for another season-long loan with Fleetwood Town interested in re-signing the defender.

Coyle has long been considered one of the brightest prospects currently coming through at Thorp Arch and he got the chance to make a handful of appearances for the Whites before last season.

However, despite impressing when handed an opportunity, it was generally considered to be a smart move when he was allowed to head to Highbury last summer as he looked set to once again compete with Luke Ayling and Gaetano Berardi had he stuck around.

But there were often calls for Coyle to return as Ayling sustained a long-term injury in January and Berardi’s form was inconsistent and led to plenty of criticism – and that is perhaps why many of the fans have not reacted particularly positively to the reports that Fleetwood are keen to take Coyle back for another year.

The 22-year-old was hugely impressive during his time in League One and won the club’s Players’ Player of the Year award, so it is little surprise that new boss Joey Barton is reportedly keen to bring him in.

However, based on the reaction to the reports from the Yorkshire Evening Post suggesting a loan move could be on the cards, it would appear that there may not be too many Leeds fans who would be happy to see the youngster leave for another season.
