Some of a Leeds United persuasion had recently expressed an interest in signing the seemingly Derby County-bound player.

Leeds United supporters are reacting on Twitter to reports that Derby County are set to spend up to £9.5 million on the young Arsenal midfielder, Krystian Bielik.
According to the Telegraph, Derby, who defeated Leeds in last season’s Championship play-offs, will pay an initial fee which is less than the Rams’ £8m club record, with the rest due in add-ons.
But as Derby, whose fight to remain Financial Fair Play compliant saw them sell their Pride Park stadium to the club’s owner Mel Morris, prepare to splash the cash once again, Leeds are yet to sign a single player outright in the summer transfer window.
All four of the Whites’ closed-season recruits have arrived on loan – although Marcelo Bielsa’s side do have an obligation to sign Helder Costa permanently, at a reported cost of £15m, at the end of the campaign.

And the following Leeds fans aren’t best pleased with the rumours of further Derby spending – especially on a player for whom there were, albeit unverified, whispers of interest from Elland Road…
If the rumours are true, why is it the likes of Derby can afford to offer £10m for an Arsenal youngster (Bielik)? We should not be ******* skint it’s ridiculous #lufc
If they pull that off and ffp do not tear them apart then the system is well and truly ******
Not shrewd- cheating *******!!
Leeds fans – should your side have been in for Bielik?
