Leeds United are reportedly planning a move for Barnsley full-back Andy Yiadom when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Leeds fans have been reacting on Twitter to the reports coming out of the Yorkshire Evening Post this week which have suggested that the Whites are keen on signing Andy Yiadom from Barnsley this summer.
Yiadom was signed for the Tykes by current Leeds head coach Paul Heckingbottom and featured regularly under him before the latter made the move to Elland Road earlier this year.

News of Leeds’ interest has received a mixed reaction amongst the Whites fans on social media, with many fans feeling underwhelmed with the reports linking Yiadom with a move given Barnsley’s current position in the table and the amount of depth that Heckingbottom already has on the right-hand side of the defence.

However, others are slightly more optimistic that this could be a very good deal if Leeds manage to land Yiadom’s signature. The Yorkshire Evening Post also reported that he was close to joining Swansea City and Huddersfield Town in the summer, so there is clearly a talented defender in there.
And with his ability to also play at left-back, there seems to be some fans who would be more than happy to see the squad bolstered with the addition of the Ghana international – especially given that he will not command a transfer fee.
