Paudie O’Connor is reportedly set for a contract extension at Leeds United.

Leeds United fans on Twitter are happy with the report that Paudie O’Connor is set to extend his contract in West Yorkshire.
The 20-year-old defender broke into Leeds’ first team under Paul Heckingbottom toward the end of last season, starting four Championship games for the Whites.
O’Connor, a Thorp Arch academy product, acquitted himself very well during his stint in the senior side and The Mirror reckon that United will hand him a contract extension shortly.
Leeds fans love to see one of their own flourishing in the first team, and supporters of the Elland Road side will be delighted if the extension materialises.
Here is how they reacted on Twitter:

The young Irishman certainly did show enough promise to warrant a new deal and it’ll be interesting to see how he develops under Marcelo Bielsa.
Leeds named the veteran Argentine as Heckingbottom’s successor at Elland Road on Friday and there is clearly a whole host of players who can and will improve under such a high-profile coach.
Will O’Connor be among them? Based on his performances last term, it’s very possible.
