Pontus Jansson has insisted that it is his dream to play for Leeds United in the Premier League.

Leeds fans have been reacting on Twitter after Pontus Jansson insisted, in comments reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, that he wants to play in the Premier League with the Whites and will be at Elland Road next season.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that questions regarding the 27-year-old’s future arose over the international break as he suggested that he wanted to seek clarification regarding what the club’s plans were this summer with a mid-table finish this season looking to be on the cards.

However, it appears that Jansson has moved to quash any suggestion that he may be contemplating leaving the Whites at the end of the campaign by insisting that he will be at the club next season.

“You never know in football but what I said in Sweden, you use Google Translate to understand it so maybe something is not correct. That’s a normal reaction for me. Of course I feel frustrated, of course I want to speak to people in this club about what the goals are. I said I had a dream to play in the Premier League but I also said that the dream for me is playing with Leeds. That’s what I said from day one.”
Despite Jansson’s comments on the subject, there appear to be a number of fans who are not convinced by what he has said and fear that he will still be on his way at the end of the season.
During the years that Leeds registered several uninspiring mid-table finishes and rarely looked like challenging for the top six, the fans saw a number of their key players move on to Premier League sides or teams looking to challenge for promotion in the second tier. And with that kind of finish on the cards this term, the supporters are fearful that Jansson may be destined for the exit.
Here is what some of the Leeds fans made of Jansson’s comments on his future…
