Pontus Jansson gave Leeds United fans an injury scare at the end of their victory on Friday night.

Pontus Jansson’s brother Peter has provided the injury news on social media that all Leeds fans were desperate to hear that the defender will be ready to play the Whites’ next game.
Jansson gave the Elland Road faithful a bit of a scare towards the end of their stunning 2-0 win over Derby County on Friday night as he went down seemingly clutching his knee.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have experienced so much bad luck with injuries this season, particularly in defence, that some would have felt that it was practically a given that Jansson would be sidelined for several months.
The Swede is playing as well as he ever has in a Leeds shirt right now, and his reunion with Liam Cooper helped the Whites keep their first clean sheet since beating Bolton in mid-December.

So losing him to injury would have been a massive blow, especially with their promotion rivals all bunching up behind Bielsa’s men in the table.
But Peter Jansson has provided an update on the defender’s fitness, and it has unsurprisingly been met with a number of positive responses from Leeds supporters who need no reminding of how important the centre-back is proving this season.

Here is Pontus Jansson’s brother’s tweet, as well as some of the responses…
