Leeds United fans on Twitter have laughed off Pierre-Michel Lasogga’s latest comments.
The 26-year-old striker intimated to Fussball News in Germany on Sunday that playing in the Premier League represents a “childhood dream” for him.
Lasogga is at Leeds on a season-long loan from Bundesliga outfit Hamburg and has hardly ripped up the Championship, netting 10 goals in 26 outings for the Whites so far.
And a lot of United fans simply cannot see him ever being good enough for England’s top flight.

Here is some of the best reaction:
Lasogga is a decent striker on his day, but that wouldn’t be enough to see him prove successful in the top tier.
Dwight Gayle and Tammy Abraham both managed 46 goals between them in the second tier for Newcastle and Bristol City respectively last term – 23 apiece – but the duo have scored a combined nine goals in the Premier League this season.
It’s a huge step up in the class compared to the Championship and if Lasogga is only a decent striker at this level, it doesn’t exactly bode well for his chances of fulfilling that childhood dream.
