The Leeds United midfielder is still being named in international squads despite questionable form in the Championship.

Leeds United’s Mateusz Klich has been called up to the Poland squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers against Israel and Slovenia this month.
Klich has been an ever-present figure at international level since returning to Leeds in the summer of 2018 and establishing himself as a huge player under Marcelo Bielsa.
But he hasn’t been quite as impressive as of late.
The 29-year-old, who scored 10 Championship goals for the Whites last term, only has one so far this season and that came nearly two months ago.
In addition to that, the former FC Twente playmaker also only has the one assist in the Championship, having set up nine last season.
It wouldn’t have been a huge surprise had Poland boss Zbigniew Boniek snubbed Klich on current form, but he has been retained and here’s how fans of the Elland Road club reacted:
Klich, to his credit, is creating chances, but Leeds have had a striker issue for much of this season and perhaps a lot of his good work from midfield is going unrewarded.
For instance, Patrick Bamford, United’s starting striker, hasn’t scored since August and when you’re a creative player, assists are always to be lower when the player you’re supplying is misfiring.
