Leeds United supporters were worried about Patrick Bamford’s fitness heading into their latest Championship clash.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that Marcelo Bielsa confirmed in his pre-match press conference – as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post – that Patrick Bamford has been passed fit for the trip to Reading.
Bamford gave the Elland Road faithful a scare heading into Tuesday’s clash after coming off shortly before the hour-mark of their 1-0 win against Bristol City at the weekend.
The striker collided with the post as he scored what proved to be the game’s only goal in the ninth minute. And despite managing to carry on for much of the contest, he still had to be brought off during the fairly early stages of the second-half.
But, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Bielsa has announced that the squad that will travel to the Madejski Stadium will be the same as the one that took on Bristol City, meaning that Bamford is ready to go.

With Bamford missing so much of the campaign through injury and Leeds enduring the most ridiculous run of luck with players being sidelined, it is no surprise that many of the supporters feared the worst when he was taken off – especially with Kemar Roofe still out.
But many are now hoping that Leeds’s luck may be changing at the perfect time. While Bielsa will not be looking beyond Reading, it is difficult to forget about this weekend’s clash with Sheffield United and how important that contest with be, so Bamford’s fitness boost is a massive plus.
