Luke Ayling was poor as Leeds United suffered a defeat at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa is perhaps gearing up for his toughest task from during his time as Leeds boss as he looks to pick his side up from what many fans are deeming to be the Whites’ worst performance of the season.
Norwich left Elland Road with a 3-1 win on Saturday. It seems difficult to pick out any Leeds player who could be particularly content with his performance on the day, but many supporters clearly feel that one of the most disappointing displays came from Luke Ayling.
It was Ayling’s lofted pass that ultimately led to Norwich’s second goal 10 minutes before the break. Adam Forshaw definitely should have done better, but the right-back’s pass played its part in allowing the visitors to apply the pressure.
The 27-year-old has arguably struggled for form for much of the season, and once again, appeared to be well off the pace as Norwich caused plenty of problems down the flanks.

And going forward, Ayling did not provide the quality that he regularly did during his first year at Elland Road. His passing in general was regularly wayward, and a number of fans now want a change.
Jamie Shackleton has done little wrong when he has been given a chance. And some clearly believe that he should get the opportunity to play against Middlesbrough next weekend as Ayling’s form is proving to be a conundrum that even Bielsa seems unable to work out right now.
