The 2018-19 season of the Championship seems to have developed into a titanic two-way tussle for the title as Leeds United and Norwich City remain in contention for top spot

Since the Whites ran out 3-0 winners over the Canaries back in August, the latter have since picked up form and, 24 games into the campaign, just three points separate the two at the summit.

Indeed, Norwich were top at the conclusion of last Saturday’s fixtures, but Leeds claimed a superb 3-2 win at Aston Villa the following day to reclaim first place in the standings.

On Boxing Day, Marcelo Bielsa’s side enjoyed another late triumph as they overturned a 2-1 deficit on 90 minutes against Blackburn Rovers to win 3-2 thanks to Kemar Roofe’s injury-time double.

However, Carrow Road also saw some stoppage-time drama of the highest quality on the day after Christmas as Daniel Farke’s charges, 3-1 down, went on to salvage a 3-3 draw against Nottingham Forest through Onel Hernandez’s brace.

After full time in both fixtures, some Leeds fans couldn’t help but congratulate their Norwich counterparts for their against-all-odds draw, with some also praising third-placed West Bromwich Albion for remaining in contention:
