Kiko Casilla made his first appearance for Leeds United on Monday.

Leeds fans got their first glimpse of Kiko Casilla in action for the Whites on Monday as the goalkeeper played the full 90 minutes of the under-23 side’s 3-2 victory over Southampton at Tadcaster.
Casilla was on the bench for the first-team’s defeat to Stoke City at the weekend. And with Bailey Peacock-Farrell performing quite well in the game, he would have known how important it was that he impressed when given a chance for Carlos Corberan’s side.
The under-23s picked up a dramatic victory as they came from 2-1 down during the second-half to claim the win. And while Casilla was unable to keep a clean sheet, he would have likely been very happy with his bow for his new club.
The Spaniard looked assured with the ball at his feet – producing a couple of stunning passes to start counter attacks – and his handling was superb, particularly from crosses.

He could have done little about the two goals that Leeds conceded. And many of the fans on social media appear to be delighted with what they have seen from the 32-year-old.
Some are suggesting that he should go straight into the starting lineup for Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s clash with Rotherham this weekend, with many believing that he is going to prove to be a fantastic signing during the coming months.

Here is how some of the supporters reacted to Casilla’s first appearance for the Whites…
