The Leeds United star seemingly wants to stay in West Yorkshire.

There has been a ‘very promising’ development on Kalvin Phillips’s Leeds United future.
The 23-year-old is arguably United’s most valuable player but his contract expires in 2021.
A lot of Leeds fans are desperate to sign him up to longer terms but, according to his agent, there’s been progress on this front.
The Whites’ owner Andrea Radrizzani met with Phillips’s agent Kevin Sharp and Director of Football Victor Orta last week to speak about an extension.
And Sharp claims that the negotiations went very well, telling The Yorkshire Evening Post: “It’s clear for all to see that the owner, Victor Orta and the manager all see Kalvin as a major player in the squad.
“No matter how important he is, they want to get the best deal possible and I want to get him the best deal possible. Kalvin is really happy to stay and wants to sign a new deal. We had a very amicable meeting, we all came out very positive. It looks very promising, that’s as much as I can say.”
Things are looking good on Leeds’ chances of extending the midfielder’s contract, and here’s how fans of the Elland Road side reacted on Twitter:
Phillips has played every minute of United’s six games this season – five in the Championship, one in the League Cup. He has reaffirmed his importance to the cause and had Leeds lost him this past summer, it would’ve been very, very difficult to win Premier League promotion.
They might well fall short on this front again nonetheless, but it’s a challenge made much harder without the versatile Thorp Arch product.
