Leeds United have confirmed the signing of teenage striker Ryan Edmondson.

Leeds United have confirmed on their official website the signing of teenage striker Ryan Edmondson from National League outfit York City – and fans have reacted on Twitter.
Edmondson, 16, joins the Yorkshire giants for an undisclosed fee, putting pen to paper on a contract that will see him remain at Elland Road until the summer of 2020.
Leeds claimed on their website that they beat off competition from other rival sides to clinch Edmondson’s signature, in what is another addition to the club’s youth academy by director of football Victor Orta.
Born in May 2001, Edmondson made his debut for the fifth-tier side last month, featuring a 2-1 home victory against National League opponents Brackley Town.
Now, boyhood Leeds fan Edmondson will link up with Mark Jackson’s Under 18’s and Carlos Corberan’s Under 23’s, as he looks to push his way into the first team in the coming seasons.
Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to the news that Edmondson had agreed to join the Whites, with one fan posing an ironic tweet suggesting that the youngster is “better than Lukaku”.
