Chris Wood, once of Leeds United, is in a rich vein of form for Burnley.

Former Leeds United hitman Chris Wood was among the heroes for Burnley on Saturday.
The Clarets beat Premier League title-chasing Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Turf Moor yesterday.
Wood, who joined Burnley from Leeds for £15 million in 2017 [The Times], opened the scoring on 57 minutes and, in doing so, made it four goals in as many games.
The New Zealand international scored 30 times during his last season at Elland Road and, with Kemar Roofe potentially out for up to eight weeks, the promotion-hunting Whites could do with a goalscorer of Wood’s ilk now.
Here’s how United fans reacted to his goal v Spurs:
Some might argue that the big striker wouldn’t fit in with Marcelo Bielsa’s style, but the Argentine coach did find success with Fernando Llorente leading his attack for Athletic Bilbao in Spain.
Llorente, like Wood, is a tall and powerful marksman who isn’t all that mobile, but he does score goals and there’s very little argument that Wood wouldn’t excel under Bielsa if he was still in West Yorkshire.
