Callum Nicell has signed a new two-year contract with Leeds United.

Leeds United fans are happy to see their club have handed Callum Nicell a new contract.
The 18-year-old, who has been on Leeds’ books from the age of seven, has extended his stay in West Yorkshire until 2020 after signing a two-year deal.
This news comes on the back of 5-0 drubbing of Bristol City by the Whites’ Under-23 side, with Nicell on the scoresheet last night.
It was the teenager’s first goal at that level, having been limited to games for the Under-18s last term.
Here is how Leeds supporters reacted to the news of his extension:
It’s a good show of faith by the Whites, but plenty of hard work is still needed if Nicell is to make it at Elland Road.
A two-year extension could be interpreted to mean that the club aren’t certain about him just yet, given that Ronaldo Vieira was given a four-year one at the same age.
But Nicell is certainly at the right club with regards to getting first-team chances, and the youngster should look at Jamie Shackleton and Tom Pearce, two members of the senior squad now, as inspiration.
