Bobby Kamwa scored a beauty for Leeds United’s Under-18 side on Wednesday.

Leeds United youngster Bobby Kamwa just keeps on enhancing his reputation as a very exciting prospect in West Yorkshire.

The 18-year-old signed a two-and-a-half year contract at Leeds last month for what represented his first professional deal – and he is going from strength to strength.

The Cameroon-born starlet lit up the Aspire Academy’s Under-18 Tri-Series in Qatar earlier this year, en route to being named Player of the Tournament.

And Leeds fans on Twitter are purring over his latest contribution to the club.

The Whites’ Under-18 side edged out Huddersfield Town 2-0 at Thorp Arch on Wednesday afternoon, with Theo Hudson and another from Kamwa himself doing the damage.

But the manner of Kamwa’s strike has excited the Elland Road faithful after watching the youngster curl a quite wonderful effort past the Terriers’ goalkeeper from outside the box.

Here is their reaction to the stunning goal:

Although some Leeds supporters obviously want him in the senior squad, this is probably wishful thinking for now, and first he might have to prove that he can do it at Under-23 level.

That being said, once you’re good enough then you’re old enough, as the adage goes, and United are a club that have given young players chances to impress in the senior side down the years.

The likes of Lewis Cook and Ronaldo Vieira were still teenagers at the time of their big break in the first team – Vieira, at 19, still is one – and time will tell whether Kamwa has the potential to follow those two into the big time.
