Marcelo Bielsa has suggested that Leeds United could be without Liam Cooper and Barry Douglas for their next Championship clash.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Marcelo Bielsa told LUTV that Liam Cooper and Barry Douglas may not play against Brentford on Wednesday due to injury.
Bielsa has named the same starting lineup for the first three games of the new Championship season, with Cooper and Douglas two of those to have featured in every fixture.
The pair have helped Leeds make a strong start to the new season, with just one goal conceded from open play so far. However, the Whites may have to go into battle with Thomas Frank’s men without both.
Bielsa suggested, in comments reported by LUTV, that both men, along with Gjanni Alioski, are doubts for the game against the Bees. He did suggest that all three men could be involved, but also admitted that he is preparing for their absences, with Jamie Shackleton set to play at right-back and Stuart Dallas switching over to the left. Presumably, Gaetano Berardi will come in at centre-back if required.

While there are plenty of Leeds supporters cursing the club’s luck once again – it was staggering the number of injuries the side dealt with last season – there is actually also some confidence.
Youngsters such as Pascal Struijk and Leif Davis are being backed to step up if required. There are several fans who are worried – especially with Douglas missing a lot of last term with injury – but the optimism that Leeds can cope remains.

Here is how some of the supporters reacted to Bielsa’s comments ahead of Wednesday’s clash…
