Rudy Austin scored one and set up another in Leeds United’s 3-0 victory over Huddersfield on Saturday, so what did the fans make of his overall performance?
Leeds United continued their impressive climb up the Championship table with a 3-0 victory over Huddersfield on Saturday.
Caretaker manager Neil Redfearn saw his side follow up their impressive victory over Bournemouth with another three-goal haul, courtesy of strikes from Rodolph Austin, Mirco Antenucci and Souleymane Doukara; and it was the Jamaican midfielder who really shone for the Whites.
Austin netted from his only goal-scoring attempt, while providing the assist for Doukara to end the game as a contest with just over 20 minutes to go.
The 29-year-old also played two key passes and touched the ball 45 times during his 89 minutes on the pitch.
| Goals | Goal Assist | Key Pass | Total Scoring Attempt | On-target Scoring Attempt | Touches | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rodolph Austin | 1 | 1 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 45 | 89 |
Alongside that impressive attacking performance he won two tackles, five duels and had a passing accuracy of 90%. In short, he shone and was the catalyst for Leeds’ latest victory.
With reports of a new managerial appointment being imminent, Redfearn could soon be replaced in the Elland Road hot seat, but whatever happens he has done a fine job since stepping into the breach and the players have clearly reacted brilliantly to his methods, not least Austin.
| Won Tackle | Duel Won | Passing Accuracy | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rodolph Austin | 2 | 5 | 90% | 89 |
