Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has withdrawn from international duty due to a foot injury.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that the Yorkshire Evening Post are reporting that Pontus Jansson has withdrawn from international duty due to a foot injury sustained in the defeat to West Brom.
Jansson was hurt in a challenge with Harvey Barnes but continued playing and saw the game out on a hugely disappointing night for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
Unfortunately, it appears that the disappointment is carrying into this week. The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that Jansson has travelled to link up with the Sweden squad ahead of their games with Turkey and Russia.
It is not yet known how long Jansson will need to recover from the problem, but many Leeds fans are understandably worried about the situation given the injuries already within the squad.

Gaetano Berardi and Luke Ayling still have a lengthy spell on the sidelines ahead of them and their absences prompted Bielsa to hand summer signing Leif Davis a chance on the bench at The Hawthorns.
Davis is extremely talented, but it seems highly unlikely that he would be in the first-team picture at this stage had it not been for injuries. And Leeds fans are now very concerned that they may be about to get the kind of news that forces Bielsa to promote Davis further when the side face Bristol City after the international break.

Here is what some of the Leeds supporters make of the reports…
