Leeds United loanee Paudie O’Connor got another chance to impress against the Premier League heavyweights this season.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Paudie O’Connor’s situation after the defender got the chance to play against Arsenal in the FA Cup.
O’Connor is currently spending the season on loan with Blackpool. And while it is only due to injuries that the Whites-owned centre-back is enjoying his first lengthy run in the side since August, he was given a second chance to lineup against the Gunners this term.
The first meeting would have been a bittersweet experience for the youngster, as he scored and was then sent off in the 2-1 Carabao Cup defeat at the Emirates.
Unfortunately, it was another disappointing result for Blackpool as they were beaten 3-0, but plenty of Leeds supporters felt that they saw something in O’Connor that they can be excited about.

The 21-year-old looked good in the air against the Gunners, and showed the kind of promise that has left some of the Elland Road faithful asking whether he should be recalled for the second-half of the season, with one fan tweeting Radrizzani about the prospect.
It is no secret that Leeds have endured a terrible run of luck with injury, especially in defence. And some seem to feel that O’Connor could be an option having stepped up towards the end of last season and having done fairly well on a difficult evening against the Premier League heavyweights.
