Patrick Bamford was in sensational form as Leeds United picked up an impressive win in their latest under-23 game.

A number of Leeds fans have suggested on Twitter that Patrick Bamford may have already put Kemar Roofe under serious pressure, despite the striker not appearing for the first-team since August.
Bamford started the Whites’ latest under-23 game which saw Carlos Corberan’s side travel to face Burnley on Tuesday. And he was instrumental in helping Leeds claim a 6-3 win against the Clarets.
The visitors actually fell behind on three occasions, but Bamford bagged a treble, while Jack Clarke, Lewis Baker and Izzy Brown all got on the scoresheet to send a message to Marcelo Bielsa ahead of Saturday’s game against Bolton.
But perhaps no player’s message was louder than Bamford’s. The striker reminded the fans of his class with a stunning performance. His finish for the first goal was sublime as he dinked the ball over Tom Heaton.

His third was also extremely impressive as he teed himself up after some great work from Clarke and volleyed the ball into the top corner to complete the victory and his treble.
With Roofe in such sensational form this season, few could have imagined that Bamford could actually put him under pressure without playing for the first-team, but the 25-year-old definitely has.

After spending so long on the sidelines, Bamford appears to have wasted little time getting back to his best, and the supporters are extremely excited about how far the two strikers could push each other over the coming months as they look to impress Bielsa.
Here is how some of the Leeds fans reacted to Bamford’s hat-trick…
