The Spaniard scored again for Leeds United this weekend.

Leeds United bounced back from their midweek defeat by beating Barnsley 2-1 at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

A narrow defeat at Bristol City on Tuesday had diminished Leeds’ feel-good factor a little and ended their four-match winning streak in the process.

But Garry Monk’s side got back on the horse yesterday by edging out the Tykes in Yorkshire.

Kyle Bartley opened the scoring for Leeds, before Hernandez, on a six-month loan, doubled the lead with a well-taken curling finish.

Charlie Taylor’s own goal made for a nervy final 20 minutes or so, but Monk’s boys saw the game out to move 11th in the Championship.

Game by game, a number of Monk’s pre-season recruits seem to be dazzling more and more, with the likes of Bartley and Pontus Jansson certainly in that category.

Another man becoming increasingly familiar with life in the Championship is Hernandez, who now has two goals in four league games – both very decent goals, at that.

And Leeds fans were left raving about the 31-year-old on Twitter afterwards.
