Plenty of Leeds United fans were not happy with how Ollie Watkins won a penalty on Monday.

With Leeds fans possessing a lot of anger towards 11 of their Championship rivals, as well as the EFL and FA as the fallout over ‘Spygate’ continues, it is no surprise that plenty of the Elland Road faithful took exception with one incident during Barnet’s FA Cup tie with Brentford on Monday night.
It is probably fair to assume that a section of Whites fans decided to watch the game as it saw one of the club’s youngsters Will Huffer make his debut for the National League side having joined on loan for a month.
But one of the main topics of conversation after the enthralling contest was the way in which Brentford scored their second goal in the 3-3 draw, with Neal Maupay beating Huffer from the spot on the hour mark.
It is not the first time this season that Maupay has scored a penalty against a Leeds goalkeeper, as he also got the better of Bailey Peacock-Farrell in a Championship clash back in October.

Interestingly, that was not the only connection between the two spot-kicks, as on both occasions, it was Ollie Watkins who went down inside the box in very controversial circumstances.
Against Leeds, Watkins was heading to the ground before he made contact with Peacock-Farrell. And he produced arguably an even worse dive against Barnet on Monday, with absolutely no contact being made before he went over.

The latest incident has infuriated Leeds fans on social media, who felt that Watkins should have faced a retrospective ban following October’s clash. The Yorkshire Evening Post reported at the time that the forward was cleared of diving, while the frustration increased further as Sergi Canos escaped a ban for headbutting Gjanni Alioski in the same game.
The only punishment dished out came Pontus Jansson’s way for some fiery post-match comments. The Swede was fined and banned for one game (via The Sun).
Now with Leeds being investigated by the governing bodies over ‘Spygate’, and The Times naming Brentford as one of the teams to sign a letter to the EFL demanding a full investigation into Marcelo Bielsa’s scouting methods, the Whites fans have demanded that action is taken against Watkins following Monday’s incident.
Here is how some of the Leeds supporters reacted to the forward’s dive…
