Leeds United can go top of the Championship table if they beat Millwall on Saturday and other results go their way.

Leeds United supporters love how Marcelo Bielsa has reacted to his decision to substitute Tyler Roberts during their 1-0 win over West Brom on Tuesday night.

Bielsa apologised to his player because he had just brought him onto the pitch at the break, and less than half an hour later, he was taking him off again for tactical reasons.

When Roberts initially came on, he replaced Jamie Shackleton in what was a more attack-minded substitution, but as the half progressed, Leeds struggled and Bielsa decided to bring the more defensive-minded Luke Ayling onto the pitch.

After the game, Bielsa admitted that he made the wrong decision in bringing Roberts on in the first place, and as a result, apologised for his actions, as quoted by reporter Adam Pope.

The Elland Road faithful have loved how Bielsa has handled the situation and expressed even more love towards the ever-popular Leeds figure.

In the end, Bielsa’s decision to bring Roberts off worked because Leeds walked away with the three points and a clean sheet to their name.

Bielsa has turned the fortunes around at Leeds United in an unbelievable way because he has taken them from being a mediocre mid-table to one that has been challenging for the automatic places since the start of last season.

Nonetheless, Roberts, who was purchased by Leeds from Albion for £4 million [Daily Mail], will be hoping to get back to full fitness after a recent lay-off.
