Kiko Casilla has signed a long contract at Leeds United, and the fans are delighted.

Several Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to comment following the announcement that the club made on their official website that Kiko Casilla has completed his move to Elland Road – and one aspect of the move has left supporters particularly pleased.
Leeds appear to have pulled off a massive coup by landing the Real Madrid goalkeeper. Many fans would have argued that a new stopper had to be at the top of Marcelo Bielsa’s shopping list for this window with Will Huffer acting as Bailey Peacock-Farrell’s understudy since Jamal Blackman sustained a season-ending injury.
Casilla has been second or third choice throughout his spell at Madrid, but does leave the Bernabeu having made over 40 appearances for the club in all competitions. He also has three Champions League medals to show off.
But one factor within the deal has attracted plenty of attention following the announcement.

The club have confirmed on their official website that Casilla has signed a four and a half year contract with the Whites. It is a big statement given that Casilla will be 36 by the time the deal concludes.
But with plenty of goalkeepers continuing to play and thrive well past that age, it appears that many fans feel that the long-term contract makes the deal look even better.

Here is how some of the Leeds supporters reacted when Casilla’s contract was announced…
