Leeds United suffered a hugely disappointing defeat as they were beaten 4-1 at home in their latest Championship fixture.

Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Kemar Roofe’s performance during their demoralising home defeat against Cardiff City on Saturday – with many of the supporters slamming the forward’s display.

Thomas Christiansen’s side’s play-off hopes suffered another setback at the weekend as the Bluebirds left Elland Road with a 4-1 win. The defeat leaves Leeds 10th in the Championship, seven points adrift of the top six, and means that their run without a win now extends to seven games in all competitions.

It seemed to be one of those afternoons where everything that could go wrong did go wrong for Christiansen, with the pain of the defeat being amplified with Pontus Jansson being stretchered off and Gaetano Berardi being sent off during the first-half.

Very few players appeared to emerge from the emphatic defeat with much credit amongst the fans. And one of the players who came in for a huge amount of criticism on social media was Roofe.

Signed for £3 million in 2016, according to BBC Sport, Roofe has endured a mixed time at Elland Road but does top the goalscoring charts for the Whites having scored eight times in the league this term.

However, he has scored just once since the turn of the year, and his performance against Cardiff left a number of fans suggesting that he should be nowhere near the squad as he seemed to go missing for large parts of the contest. Some even believe that the 25-year-old should be sold at the next available opportunity.

Here is what the Leeds fans made of Roofe’s latest performance…
