Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe was linked with a number of Premier League clubs over the weekend.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to urge the Whites to get on with offering Kemar Roofe a new contract amid reports from the Sunday Mirror (04/11; page 66) at the weekend which suggested that the striker has a host of Premier League sides chasing his signature.
Roofe has made a superb start to the season at Elland Road. He is relishing the chance to be Leeds’ first-choice striker after a mixed couple of years following his £3 million arrival (via BBC Sport).
Unfortunately for the Whites, his form is attracting attention. The Sunday Mirror reported that Wolves, Southampton and Crystal Palace are all monitoring his performances as they consider bolstering their striker options.
They appear to have received some encouragement from Leeds’ stance on Roofe. The Mirror reports that contract talks have stalled somewhat with the former Oxford United man heading into the final 18 months of his current deal.

But with Roofe in remarkable form this season, there have been plenty of Leeds fans on social media who believe that the club need to get the forward’s future resolved as quickly as possible.
He is making the kind of impact that suggests that he will be able to shoulder much of the burden of leading the line in a side in promotion contention, so leaving question marks over his future makes little sense to many of the supporters.

Here is what some of Leeds fans make of the reports…
