Jack Harrison played the first 60 minutes as Leeds United picked up a dramatic victory against Blackburn Rovers.

If there was any Leeds player under a decent amount of pressure heading into the Whites’ Boxing Day clash with Blackburn, it was arguably Jack Harrison.

Apart from a superb performance against Preston earlier in the campaign, the Leeds fans have not seen too much from the on-loan winger to be excited about. And against Aston Villa at the weekend, the 22-year-old endured a disappointing afternoon.

Jack Clarke came on and changed the game at Villa Park, so many would have been fairly surprised that Marcelo Bielsa handed Harrison another start against Rovers on Wednesday.

He played the first 60 minutes at Elland Road before being replaced by Clarke once again. But there are plenty of Leeds supporters who have praised the Manchester City-owned ace’s display.

Harrison looked like a man with a point to prove in what turned out to be another dramatic win for the Whites. The winger created problems and it was his cross across the six-yard box that led to the own goal that put Leeds in front.

One supporter suggested that it was Harrison’s best performance since arriving in the summer, while another even claimed that he was actually Leeds’ best player while he was on the pitch.

He unquestionably showed a lot more than he managed to contribute at the weekend. And with Clarke not able to make the same impact that he made against the Villans, perhaps it should surprise no-one if Bielsa keeps him in the team against Hull this weekend.
