Izzy Brown made a crucial impact as Leeds United’s under-23s claimed an impressive win on Monday.

Plenty of Leeds fans are starting to allow themselves to get slightly excited about the impact that Izzy Brown could make in the first-team after he sent a message to Marcelo Bielsa in the under-23s’ latest game.
The Whites beat Crewe 2-0 on Monday, with Brown bagging both of the goals for Carlos Corberan’s side. The first saw the summer signing convert a Bryce Hosannah cross, before he slid in to double the lead following a superb team move in the second-half.
It has been a long road for Brown, who is still yet to make his debut for Leeds’ first-team having arrived on a season-long loan from Chelsea in the previous window.
It is not the first time that Brown’s display has hinted that he is moving towards being on Bielsa’s radar. A superb performance against Burnley towards the end of last year however, proved to be a false dawn as he suffered another setback.

But supporters are now hoping that his run of bad luck with injury may be over and he can push towards the senior side, as judging by some of his performances with the youngsters, he could make a serious impact in the promotion race in the Championship.
Plenty of fans have expressed their hope that he could be in contention to perhaps make the bench for the first-team’s trip to Stoke City this weekend, while others are just delighted that Brown is making such an impression in the under-23 ranks after such a long spell sidelined.

Here is how some of the supporters reacted to Brown’s latest display…
